Product design —a staged system

A fast, clear interface for the validation stage, and a design system that can grow once the product takes hold. With us, design does not live apart from code — same team, same sprint.

Our approach

The classic problem with design agencies: three months of research, a thick presentation, and then nothing in the code stage turns out like the design. With us, design and engineering are the same team — every screen we draw is technically checked, fits the budget and can be turned into code.

At S1 the goal is not a beauty contest but clarity: the user must understand what they are doing, and the core flow must work without friction. We do this with a lightweight style guide — we don't build a full design system, because we don't yet know what works.

When the product wins real users, the design system is built in stages: a component library, tone and voice rules, dark mode, accessibility. Thanks to this sequence, the money put into design never goes to waste — each stage is built on top of the previous one.

What's included

01

UX research and prototyping

User interviews, competitor analysis, a clickable prototype. Assumptions are tested the cheap way, before any code is written.

02

Interface design

Production-ready screens for web and mobile — precise enough to leave no room for developer guesswork.

03

Design system

Component library, tokens, usage rules. When your team grows, every new screen comes out of the system instead of being drawn from scratch.

04

Brand and interface language

A color, typography and tone system built around the logo — the same character from website to app, from presentation to email.

05

Design audit

A list of usability problems in your existing product — prioritized, impact-assessed and ready to fix.

How it changes withscale

The same service at three different depths. We choose together which tier to start from during the scale conversation.

S1Clarity

A lightweight style guide + design of the core flows. The goal: users don't get confused and the product looks trustworthy. Work measured in days, not weeks.

S2System

Component library, tokens, dark mode, accessibility standards. Design becomes infrastructure that can scale.

S3Optimization

A/B tests, design decisions verified in numbers with behavioral analytics, conversion optimization.

From design to code — in the same week

Because design and engineering are in the same team, a screen is turned into code through the agentic flow as soon as it is approved. We don't have the “design is ready, waiting for a developer” gap.

handoff loss — designer and engineer in the same sprint

Deliverables

  • Figma files — organized, named, in your account
  • Style guide / design system (depending on the tier)
  • Production-ready components — in code
  • Prototype and user test results
  • Accessibility audit report

Frequently asked questions

Can we order design only, without code?
Yes, but we are upfront: the real value of design shows when it becomes code. For design-only orders, the handover package includes a precise specification for developers, so that whichever team builds it, the result matches what was designed.
Can you refresh the design of our existing product?
Yes — and we usually propose a phased refresh instead of a “big bang”: the most-used flows first, then the rest. The product is renewed without users feeling the transition.
How many design options do you present?
One strong direction plus its rationale. Making you choose between three weak options is an agency shifting the responsibility for the decision onto the client — we propose a direction and explain why.

Let's build your product*together*

In a forty-minute meeting we talk through your scale: which tier it makes sense to start at, how much time and budget it takes, and what we deliberately defer. No obligation.
